Summer is in full swing and it’s time to get out and enjoy the weather with some exciting festivals and events near your Toronto and Mississauga apartments.
Toronto area restaurants, August 12 – 28, 2022
Summerlicious is back in Toronto this month. If you’ve never heard of it, or haven’t tried it yet, it’s a must for any food connoisseur. As Toronto’s favourite foodie event, Summerlicious offers savoury three-course lunch and dinner prix-fixe menus at more than 200 local restaurants. This is the perfect way to try new restaurants and explore what Toronto has to offer. Although reservations are not required, it’s strongly recommended to reserve your spot by contacting the restaurant directly. Reservations open on July 28th and the event runs from August 12th to the 28th.
Mississauga Celebration Square, August 20 – 21, 2022
Japan Festival Canada promotes Japanese food, culture, and technology to the world. This year marks the festival’s 5th in-person event with a full day of fun, stage performances, delicious food, and presentations. This free festival is open from 1pm to 11pm on Saturday August 20th and from 11am to 7pm on Sunday August 21st. Celebration Square is a short drive from our Royal Tower Apartments.

Wheels on the Danforth is Toronto’s only street-judged car show. Come down to see hundreds of Classic cars, Hot Rods, muscle cars, movie cars, race cars, and more. Glamour Girls are back showcasing women’s fashion from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. Enjoy food vendors, buskers, live music, kid’s zone, and so much more. Raffles and all proceeds go to Wounded Warriors Canada. Residents of Donway Properties are just 20 minutes from Wheels on the Danforth.
TD International Jerk Food and Music Festival
256 Centennial Park Road, Etobicoke, August 5th to 7th, 2022
Centennial Park, minutes from our Linwood Apartments, is hosting JerkFest - the only jerk food festival outside of Jamaica. Enjoy contests, showcases, prizes, live performances, and of course amazing jerk food at the park. Tickets are sold in three tiers: general admission, platinum admission, and boat cruise. The boat cruise offers guests a meet and greet with the musical headliners along with a Jerk Chicken meal, and dancing.
