Toronto's Downsview Park is a 572 acre wonderland filled with countless activities, plenty of green space, and several events throughout the year.

Originally, Downsview Park was an aircraft manufacturing plant and base. In 1999 it became Canada's first urban park and features different areas to enjoy. Today. the park is a community hub, a place where people can come together and enjoy a variety of activities.
The Hangar Sport and Events Centre is a large multi-recreational facility located in the old aircraft hangar. Indoors you'll find sports fields, basketball courts, rock climbing, volleyball courts, and go-karting. Outdoors, there are soccer fields, beach volleyball courts, and a running track.
Next door to The Hangar is the Scotiabank Pond, a free-standing arena with 4 NHL-size ice rinks, training facilities, and limited visitor seating. Play hockey all year with their summer and winter leagues, keep stocked up on all things hockey at the Pro Shop, or relax with friends and watch a game at the Penalty Box Pub!
This park is a great place to get back to nature. The circuit path is a lit 2.7 km paved loop that weaves through the park and is perfect for cycling, walking, or running. There are five other paths throughout the park that will take you to different areas, like the orchard, pond, and the urban farm where Fresh City Farms grow their produce.
Children love the new play zone! This playground has an aviation theme with plenty of places for children to climb, swing, and jump. There is a small basketball court for children, sheltered seating, and a shaded picnic area.
Downsview Park hosts several festivals and events throughout the year at the Festival Terrace, a 13.6 acre outdoor amphitheater. Annual events include Foodalicious in June, Canada Day celebrations in July, and Friday Night Lights, an outdoor movies program in the summer.
